All of our products within the last 2 years have been created using this Soxhlet extraction system. This system is designed to recover insoluble and hard to reach compounds, increasing the phytochemical synergy amongst a plant’s constituents. This has become known as the entourage effect within the hemp industry. Whole plant medicine is much more bioavailable to the human body than those made from isolated compounds and distillates. This system allows us to produce much more concentrated medicine in larger volumes than our previous methods. Generally five pounds of material goes into a gallon of organic cane alcohol. This is 3 times as concentrated as medicines made using the folk method, and that’s before taking into consideration all of the other compounds obtained. With this system we can also separate the medicine from the alcohol used to extract, allowing us the freedom to suspend the medicinal resin into various oils to either create capsules, topicals for the skin, or alcohol free tinctures great for sublingual administration.
