Rubus idaeus is well known for its astringent, tonic, and nutritive properties. It has traditionally been used to create a healthy nest for implantation if taken prior to conception. It has also been used for heavy menstrual bleeding and postpartum, heavy bleeding associated with fibroids, for diarrhea, to increase tone of uterine tissue postpartum, and to increase tonicity of both male and female reproductive systems. It is mineral rich and especially high in calcium and magnesium and can help to strengthen nails, teeth, and bones.
