Usnea is type a lichen which is algae and fungus living together in symbiosis. This specific lichen is known for being one of the gentlest, yet strongest immune tonics as its primary constituents are usneic acid, mucilage, and vitamin C. It is also known to be both antibacterial and antifungal, and can be used against staph, strep, obstinate infection, deep rooted sinus infection, ring worm, candida, and for sore throats.
